ISC represents over 1200 independent schools in the UK and many of these have vacancies for teaching jobs and non-teaching positions alike. ISC’s free resource the ‘Job Zone’ is available now to help job seekers locate jobs in ISC schools. There are currently around 35,000 job seekers visiting the Job Zone each month, so don’t miss out, make sure you take a look at the ISC Job Zone.

The place is updated every single week so make sure you check there very often, they are always up to date.

Getting The Good Job

The ‘Job Zone’ allows you to specify your criteria allowing you to identify the right boarding schools for you. Applicants are then advised to contact the ISC school directly for more information about the job role. If provided by the school, the application form can be downloaded from the ISC website, completed and returned directly to the school. You can search for school jobs by location, by subject, level and many other things, the ways in which you can search for a job are endless.

Induction To Teaching

It would seem that well over 1,000 teachers complete induction in an independent school each year. Teachers can use the job search facility to look for a job in a private school which allows them to complete their induction. This is transferable to the maintained sector if you wanted to teach in a state maintained school at a later date.

If you are trained in the correct way there is no reason at all whilst you will struggle to find a decent job. The interviews may be a bit tougher than the public schools but at the end of the day it pays a lot more and the environment is often nicer.
