Calphalon One Infused Anodized Saucier

Do you need a big pan that can cook anything? If so, this is the pan for you. It will boil the spaghetti noodles, simmer the sauce and even put a nice brown and bubbly topping of cheese across the top for you in one quick move to the oven. But almost any pan can boil water and simmer sauce. The question that really needs to be asked is do you need it to go in the oven? And the next question is how much room do you have to store this? Or even more important, how large is your stove stop? This is a large diameter pan and will not work very efficiently on your average stove. If your apartment living, this probably isn’t the pan for you.
On the other hand, do you often cook for 6 or more people? Do you roast lamb, whole chickens, or anything that size? This is perfect for a few things like that. Something like a roast with all the vegetables could easily be made in this one dish. However, for the average cook making dinner for the family, this isn’t very practical. But if you want something for those occasions that it is the perfect pan, it is really high quality. But you pay for the quality. Like all Calphalon, it is on the pricey side. So purchasing this pan comes down to a personal pro and con list very affected by your cooking needs.
