This machine is for some great precision work. It has a dial that is marked every 1/16� and is accurate to the dial. You can imagine that this is more than most people need, but if you do, this one will do it. I it also really simple to change the bit. The machine simply lifts up and you switch the bits. This is heads and tails above other machines that you have to half way assembly the machine to change the bit. The only thing I found wrong with this is that the dial is around the wrench opening. It doesn’t seem to want to zero for me. But honestly, this hasn’t been an issue for me. The dial is has large markers and minor markers do often that I can do my work as precisely as I want to.

Another thing about this router is that it will fit the old Rousseau base. This is perfect for those looking for an upgrade. Not to mention the 9x12 base plates, this is what I like about this model. It makes the fit and finish excellent. If you’re looking to replace your old routed and it is a Rousseeau, this can be beat. It’s priced right and will be a great addition to anyone’s wood working shop.
