The TrueAir 4.0 Gallon Cool Mist Humidifier is a gigantic step up from those long forgotten steam-spewing units. A fantastic feature is the front LCD panel where you can choose the required humidity. Basically fine-tune the setting to anywhere between 20 percent and 90 percent and adjust the fan to low, medium, or high. The unit is oval shaped, and since the controls are located on one end, it can be operated simply even if put in a tight narrow space. The curvilinear, see-through back tank lifts off for refilling, as does the front fan unit for changing or rinsing the drop-in filter. Another great feature is the water tank is dishwasher-safe.

If there were one feature that I really do not like about this humidifier it would be the filter. It gets especially soiled very fast, even after turning it over every time I fill the tank like the directions instruct. After about three to four weeks it begins to smell rather unpleasant and needs to be changed. Costing ten dollars per filter, I would want the filters to stay fresh much longer. One note when buying a humidifier is be absolutely sure to get a unit with a digital readout so you can see what the humidity level is before and after you use it. Overall, the TrueAir 4.0 Gallon Cool Mist Humidifier would be an excellent unit for your home or office.
