Childs Halloween Costumes

Filed under: — product reviews @ 10:38 am

It is getting to be that time of year again. The weather is starting to change to cooler temperature, the leaves are starting to change, and you are starting to hear the daily discussion among your kids about what Halloween costume they want to wear this year.

These days you can get a costume to fill any child’s hearts desire. If you little darling wants to be a princess, there is a tiara, dress and fancy shoes waiting in every area of town. If your son is ready to show the world his super powers, the arm cuffs, shield, boots and coveralls are just a click away. So how do you pick the right ones that will fill their wishes and yours?

The issue with fire retardant costumes is still out there. When you’re purchasing a costume for your child, look for the fire resistant label. And remember all those things from home you add on to make the costume as realistic as possible. Use a safe, non-toxic make up and be careful about giving your child any realistic looking weapons.

And last but not least, have fun. When I was a little girl we looked around the house for sheets to make into ghost, plaid shirts and boots to be a cowboy, or the long forgotten old clothes and dirty faced hobo. Halloween Costumes for your child don’t have to be expensive or fancy to be just right. Often time you just need a good base outfit and a thorough search of the house.

And remember the candy scare from years ago? It is an urban legend, so don’t drag you candy to the doctors office for an x-ray. Just take some time to look through your child’s candy and enjoy a few precious moments together.
